The meeting room just got bigger—LifeSize® Passport™ is now Plugged Into Skype™

As part of the Plugged into Skype program, LifeSize Passport has been qualified to enable Skype video calling.

Now, customers connect over high quality, reliable video from any LifeSize Passport to any Skype-enabled PC and connect over audio to mobile devices. Small meeting rooms, individual offices, and teleworkers and small to medium-sized businesses—all can stay connected easily and cost-effectively wherever they need to stay connected.

People worldwide on Skype will now be accessible from the LifeSize Passport directory, letting them connect to each other with just one click. To enable Skype video calling from LifeSize Passport, a customer must first be a registered Skype user. Upon logging into LifeSize Passport using their Skype login credentials, Skype contacts are automatically populated into the LifeSize directory. To make a call, simply click on a contact name in the directory.

In addition to Skype video calling, LifeSize Passport is able to place and receive Skype audio calls to telephones around the world.

In addition to LifeSize Passport, Logitech also features the Skype-certified Logitech® B910 HD Webcam, which offers 720p HD video conferencing and lifelike stereo audio for business users on their PC. As with LifeSize’s offering, Skype-certification ensures this camera is optimized for use with Skype and business customers can be certain they’re getting the highest-quality Skype experience.
